our story

The Math Coaches was formed by Allen Parr, a former high school math teacher in the McKinney Independent School District. Mr. Parr was recognized as the 2015 MISD Secondary Teacher of the Year. With 15 years of combined tutoring and teaching experience, Allen decided to create a premier math coaching service that focuses on conceptual learning. The Math Coaches was formed with the idea of providing high quality educational coaching for upper level AP courses while also serving the needs of the elementary and middle school levels.

The Math Coaches is not just another tutoring company, but a full-service educational coaching company that provides coaching, workshops, online courses and videos, study skills, test-taking strategies and SAT Standardized test preparation.

Hear What the Experts are Saying

“I have had the privilege of observing Mr. Allen Parr’s teaching techniques and abilities for years. His undying commitment to his craft and his overwhelmingly positive demeanor provide him the necessary tools to reach children and young adults in all areas of mathematics. I wholeheartedly recommend him as an instructor. More importantly, Mr. Parr is a fine gentleman that cares about kids and their respective futures.

I can honestly say that I have seen him teach students of varying degrees of ability the most complex of math subjects, including but not limited to, fundamentals of math, all levels of algebra, pre-calculus, and calculus. He is truly an expert in his field and I cannot recommend him more as a potential math coach.”
